The partnership between U-M and the city of Detroit is longstanding and deeply valued, reflecting our shared commitment to the city’s growth and wellbeing. Through more than 473 ongoing initiatives, U-M partners with Detroit organizations on education, research, health, and cultural programs that fuel community development and drive economic growth. Faculty and students contribute to Detroit’s resurgence, advancing civic engagement and creating meaningful social impact.
